Sunbeam Alpine Series I & II 1959 - 1962 Aluminum Parking Fridge Magnet

Kenneth Howes & Jeff Crompton were tasked with doing a complete redesign in 1956, with the goal of producing a dedicated sports car aimed principally at the US market. Ken Howes contributed some 80 per cent of the overall design work, which bears more than incidental resemblance to the early Ford Thunderbird on which he had worked before. The "Series" Alpine started production in 1959 as a two-door roadster configuration, and later was became available in both open and removable hardtop versions. On the latest versions, the rear had received re-styling with the downsizing of the fins being the most notable change. Production lasted until 1968 with around 70,000 examples produced. People are still looking for the Sunbean Alpine driven by Sean Connery as James Bond 007 in Dr. No. If you're happen to know the where about the car, please contact us... in collect… I'll even give you a free shirt :)
