DeLorean DMC Back to the future II Doc Brown Reserved Parking Only Sign
DeLorean DMC Back to the future II Doc Brown Aluminum Parking Sign
In the Back to the Future movies, the DeLorean time machine is a time travel device made by retrofitting a DMC DeLorean vehicle with a flux capacitor. The car required 1.21 gigawatts of power and needed to travel 88 miles per hour (142 km/h) to initiate time travel.
Back from 2015, the DeLorean has seen major changes in its engineering. During his visit in the future, Doc's has the machine refitted to hover above ground in addition to standard road driving. The DeLorean is now floating in the air, lifted off the ground by its wheels/reactors of some sorts, folded providing thrust. The rear louver then propelled it at the required 88 mph to time travel. The atomic reactor is now gone and a Mr. Fusion unit uses garbage as fuel and provides the required power for the time machine to travel.
