Citroen Mehari Apparel and Accessories by Legend Lines
The Citroën Méhari was a light utility car and off-roader produced by Citroën, as a variant of the Citroën 2CV. The name Mehari came from a type of fast-running camel, and was designed by French World War II fighter ace Count Roland de la Poype, who headed a plastic company. The Mehari had a body made of ABS plastic, of course, with a soft-top and employed the flat twin engine shared with the 2CV. The Méhari made several film appearances. In the Omega Man, Charlton Heston drives a green Méhari, Brian Keith drives a Mehari in The Brian Keith Show, which ran from 1972 to 1974, in 1973's Aloha from Hawaii with Elvis Presley, a yellow Méhari can be seen prominently, Bill Murray also drives a Mehari in The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. It is even featured in the videogame Grand Theft Auto as the Canis Kalahari, an off-road vehicle based on the Citroen Mehari.
