1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass Apparel and Accessories by Legend Lines
The 1971 model shared much of the same exterior sheetmetal as the 1970, but with a new hood, grille, and headlight assemblies, as well as new bumpers and taillights. Four new exterior body colors were offered, and the famous "Rocket" V8 continued in several different sizes and power options. For buyers seeking more, Oldsmobile offered the Cutlass 'S'. This trim level added cloth or vinyl upholstery, a dome light, a chrome molding package, a hidden radio antenna in the windshield, seat belts with shoulder harnesses, a Deluxe steering wheel, cigarette lighter, and armrests. The Oldsmobile's top intermediate car was the Cutlass Supreme. Power was supplied from an overhead valve V8 engine displacing 350 cubic-inches and offering 260 horsepower. Body styles included a 2- and 4-door Holiday Hardtop, and a convertible. The 2-door Holiday Hardtop was by far the most popular body style in the Cutlass Supreme lineup with 60,599 examples built. Both the 4-door and convertible had similar production figures - both having slightly more than 10,000 built.
