Lieutenant Columbo's Peugeot 403 Convertible Cabriolet 1959 Long Sleeve T-Shirt
Do you remember the unassuming, disheveled police detective of Italian descent, whose trademarks include wearing a rumpled, beige raincoat over his suit, smoking a cigar, and driving the most inefficient police car? Lt. Colombo and his unfamous Peugeot 403 Convertible. The 403 was a major "character" in the series, a supporting co-star and a sort of alter ego: battered and unbeautiful, eccentric and woeful looking, but still a classic. When Columbo claims that his car is "very rare," that is the truth: The 2-door convertible is actually very rare as only 504 were manufactured in 1959. Despite their dilapidated appearance (the second was used as a backup car), the cars were treated with kid gloves. After the show ended, the car was safely stored on the Universal backlot but was later sold. Parties in Florida and San Diego claimed to have the original Peugeot. Apparently the car was later found in Ohio.
A game of subtle lights and shadows reveal the magnificent curves of the body of the Lieutenant Colombo's Peugeot 403 Convertible Cabriolet 1959, a Legendary French Automobile. Detailed and harmonious, the artistic illustration has grabbed the essence of one of the most influential vehicle of the 20th century and is printed in front of the tee.
